Mandukhai Kaylin, Infinite Cream (excerpt), single channel HD video, 1:41mins, 2014
Through the assemblage of still and moving images, Mandukhai Kaylin examines the ubiquity of digital image-making processes and the representation of the real and the artificial in online media culture. Her video Infinite Cream explores moving image as a generator of an expansive visual language of desire, reflecting upon the symbiotic relationship between technology, culture and the image.
Mandukhai Kaylin was born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, but moved to the US at the age of nine. In 2014 she graduated with an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art in London. She was the recipient of the KCUA/ RCA exchange residency in Kyoto, Japan, in 2013. More recently, she was selected for the 2015 Fresh Faced + Wild Eyed exhibition at The Photographers’ Gallery in London. She currently lives in Chicago.
